Yes! We're happy to incorporate family heirloom diamonds and select gemstones into a custom design or core-collection engagement ring. Resetting fees start at $300Â and may vary depending on the stone's size, shape, condition, and the complexity of the setting.
We currently accept:
Natural diamonds
Sapphires
Rubies
Emeralds (evaluated on a case-by-case basis)
To protect the quality of your finished piece & support our commitment to responsible sourcing, we only reset family heirloom stones. We do not reset newly purchased center stones obtained from other vendors.
Before moving forward, we'll carefully evaluate your stone to confirm it's suitable for resetting. Stones that are chipped, damaged, or have significant structural inclusions may not be eligible unless they can first be professionally recut or repolished.
To get started, simply email us a few high-quality photos of your stone (and any existing jewelry it's set in) and we'll be happy to review your options.
Yes! Every certified center diamond includes its original grading report from the issuing laboratory. This independently issued report documents the diamond's quality characteristics and serves as an record for identification, insurance and future appraisals.
Most diamond reports are issued through:
GIA (natural)
IGI (lab-grown)
GCAL (lab-grown)
GIA (lab-grown)
Please note -- lab-grown diamonds graded by GIA only come with a digital dossier.
Most certified diamonds also feature a microscopic laser inscription on the girdle - a unique report number that corresponds directly to the grading report. This inscription is invisible to the naked eye but can be viewed under magnification, allowing you to verify that your diamond matches its certificate.
Smaller accent diamonds are not individually graded or certified, as this is not standard practice within the jewelry industry.
